Policy on obtaining a binding conclusion in research conducted involving humans, animals or their biological materials, personal or confidential data
Authors of papers submitted for publication in the scientific journal "Information Technology and Security" are responsible for ensuring that the submission complies with the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki "Ethical Principles of Medical Research Involving Human Subjects" . Authors must obtain documents from ethics committees, participant consents, and other documents necessary for the study, in the case of involving living subjects. Studies involving human participants must guarantee the autonomy, confidentiality, and privacy of the participants.
Ethical oversight includes, but is not limited to, policies regarding consent to publication, publication on vulnerable populations, ethical conduct of human research, ethical conduct of animal research, handling of confidential data, and ethical business/marketing practices.
For non-interventional research (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, social media), all participants should be fully informed about ensuring anonymity, the purpose of the study, the use of their data, and possible risks.
The personal data of the authors are protected in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine .
